ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Meagan Dowell
Meagan Dowell is a CPA and former tax manager at a large public accounting firm on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.
During her time in public accounting, Meagan helped lead the entrepreneurial services practice which assists entrepreneurs by connecting them with strategic relationships and services to grow their business.
In 2018 she joined the Kansas City Business Journal’s NextGen Leaders program, whose objectives include helping emerging leaders build knowledge and skills, and to connect them to Kansas City peers and leaders. Additionally, Meagan was recognized by the Independent Magazine of 2017 Rising Stars.
She has three fur babies of her own, two adopted from Wayside Waifs, and one Golden Retriever. Meagan refers to her dogs as her children, and they were the inspiration behind her vision for this business. Along with her pups, it was Meagan’s passion for caring for dogs with unique needs and personalities catapulted her to start On the Ball, a loving dog daycare in Prairie Village, an attention-filled daycare tailored to each dog that visits.

Amy I.
Amy has been working with dogs on and off for over 15 years. She is open about having a learning disability but that doesn’t prohibit her from accomplishing whatever she puts her mind to, even if it is difficult. When she is not working she enjoys walking her dog, spending time with her family and painting. I loves her job and cannot wait to see her four-legged friends every day! She has a rescue dog named Ron Weasley – he makes her life better.

On the Ball Loves Prairie Village
Prairie Village loves their dogs, and so do we! On nice days, you can see residents walking their dogs, enjoying the fresh air and quality time with their fur baby. By creating a convenient space in the Prairie Village shopping center, we are easily accessible to our neighbors. Our love for the city and its charm inspired us to create a dog daycare in Prairie Village that celebrates dogs and the special bond we have with them.
